Indian Lore & Tradition: Indian Tribes
ARAPAHO
In the beginning, according to Arapaho accounts, the First Pipe Keeper floated on a limitless
body of water with the Flat Pipe. He fasted and prayed to the Creator, who inspired him to send
the duck to search beneath the water's surface. The duck emerged with a little bit of dirt, which
the First Pipe Keeper put on the Pipe. Then he sent the turtle to the bottom, and it too returned
with dirt. The First Pipe Keeper put this dirt on the Pipe and blew it off toward the four directions.
In doing so, he created the earth. He then made the sun and moon, man and woman, vegetable
and animal life, followed by day and night and the four seasons. He then taught the first people
the religious rites they would need. The duck and the turtle were placed with the pipe into a bundle.
The Arapaho - descendants of that first man and woman - have been responsible for them ever since,
symbols of the creation and their custody of a sacred trust.

YES....IT'S REALLY FACT
U-boat is a shortened form of the German submarine's
full name of Unterseeboot, which means “undersea boat.”
Talk About Dumb....
NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED:
In Modesto, California, Steven Richard King was arrested for trying to hold
up a Bank of America branch without a weapon.
King used a thumb and a finger to simulate a gun, but unfortunately, he
failed to keep his hand in his pocket. (hellllllooooooo!)

Outdoor Tip: The Number One Lure For Bass
The most effective lure for catching bass is the plastic
worm. More bass have been caught using this artificial lure
than any other. Keep in mind that in order to fish this
simplest of lures, you'll need to imitate the way a worm
moves. Raise your rod tip slowly and fish slowly.

adjust itself automatically for any lighting condition.
There is also a handy white LED flashlight for finding

- Next time you think you're perfect, try walking on water...
Article Submitted by: J. Valdez(Coyote) Raton, New Mexico
"2 MINUTES"
PLEASE TAKE 2 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME TO READ THIS.
Imagine this happening to you.
One Sunday morning during service, a 2,000 member
congregation was surprised to see two men enter,
both covered from head to toe in black and carrying
submachine guns. One of the men proclaimed,
"Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ remain
where you are." Immediately, the choir fled, the
deacons fled, and most of the congregation fled.
Out of the 2,000 there only remained around 20. The
man who had spoken took off his hood, looked at
the preacher and said "Okay Pastor, I got rid of
all the hypocrites. Now you may begin your service.
Have a nice day!" And the two men turned and walked out.
Too deep not to pass on...
- Funny how simple it is for people to trash God ... and
then wonder why the world's going to hell.
- Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but
question what the Bible says.
- Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they
do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything
the Bible says.
- Funny or is it scary?
- Funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but
still follow Satan (who, by the way, also
"believes"in God).
- Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through
e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you
start sending messages regarding the Lord, people
think twice about sharing.
- Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass
freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion
of Jesus is suppressed in the school and work place.
- Funny, isn't it? Funny how someone can be so fired
up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible
Christian the rest of the week.
- Are you laughing?
- Funny how when you go to forward this message, you
will not send it to many on your address list
because you're not sure what they believe, or
what they will think of you for sending it to them.
- Funny how I can be more worried about what other
people think of me than what God thinks of me.
- Are you thinking?
- Will you share this with people you care about? Or not?
TIPS FOR WOMEN and BABIES |
Oil of Evening Primrose and PMS :
If your PMS or PMDD symptoms are not debilitating or you
are against taking medication, there are alternatives that
you may want to consider in consultation with your
physician. We've discussed several of these in our recent
tips. Another option is using oil of evening primrose. Oil
from the seeds of this North American wildflower contains
an essential fatty acid that may be effective for breast
swelling and tenderness.

find on the LOAD= or RUN= line in the WIN.INI file. (Open
WIN.INI from your WINDOWS folder using Notepad.) You can
also place a semicolon at the head of either line to prevent
Windows from reading it while preserving your previous settings.
