Gun Banners Unmasked:
The Vengeful Face of the Anti-gun Agenda Emerges Once Again

According to proponents of the Global Climate Treaty, a consensus within the scientific community supports the view that human-caused global warming is occurring and that it threatens human health and well-being. Nothing could be further from the truth. Far from viewing the existence of global warming as “settled,” most atmospheric scientists and climate specialists hold that the global warming issue should be considered “unfinished business” requiring much further research.

New York Times commentator Bret Stephens led the way with his call to “repeal the Second Amendment.” Dismissing the fundamental right to keep and bear arms as a “fetish,” Stephens cites a litany of tired and debunked “science” and rhetoric that may do much to ingratiate himself to his new readers at the Times but does absolutely nothing to advance the debate on controlling violent crime.

He then asks, without apparent irony, why liberals nevertheless continue to lose the gun control debate. On this point, at least, Stephens is largely correct (if completely un-self-aware): Because gun control advocates don’t know what they’re talking about and because their proffered “common sense” solutions won’t make any appreciable difference.

Stephens, therefore, advocates for America to “fundamentally and permanently” change a “legal regime that most of the developed world considers nuts” by getting rid of the Second Amendment altogether. James Madison himself, Stephens insists, would look at modern America and say, “Take the guns – or at least the presumptive right to them – away.”

What happens to the 400 million or so firearms already in private hands? How does society actually benefit from his plan? Stephens doesn’t say. He apparently just trusts that things would eventually work themselves out if the government had carte blanche over yet another aspect of Americans’ lives.

Paul Waldman also wrote a piece for The Week with an even blunter prescription: “Ban guns.” Waldman at least acknowledges some of the practical problems inherent in his proposal. Yet he still muses that “it's worthwhile to step back from the concrete debates we're having, as important as those are, and spend a moment contemplating what kind of society we'd prefer if there were no practical impediments to radical change.”

Echoing Stephens, Waldman calls Americans’ dedication to their Second Amendment rights “absurd fetishism.” He insists, however, that “I get it.” But it’s not enough, he says, to justify “[o]ver 30,000 Americans dead every year, and tens of thousands more maimed and paralyzed.”

Self-defense would be less of an issue in his proposed Utopia, Waldman argues, because assailants “probably” wouldn’t have a gun, either. “[P]robably.” And besides, he writes, it’s a “ludicrous argument” that “even if you took away everyone’s guns, people would still have evil in their hearts, and if they really wanted to kill they’d find a way.”

SPORTSMANS PARADISE

Rust Bluing, Rust Browning
or Rust Blackening, HowTo:

by Jonathan Koziol

Want to make the best looking locks, butt plates, trigger guards etc., a professional blue, black or brown?

Here's how to do it:

Buy mark lee brown or blue rusting solution. If you want black, mix the brown and blue 1/2 to 1.2 in a glass shot glass. Your metal has to be scratch free and smooth. Always emery cloth in the same direction. When the metal is totally scratch free and smooth, wash in warm water and a good dish soap to get all the grease of of it.

All the small parts i put in the oven in a oven glass pie baking plate. heat to 300, also 350 will not hurt the metal. Heat take out of the oven and apply the solution until it stops sizzleing. Back in the oven over and over do this process. Geta old pot of water boiling on the stove. When you get a good coat going after several applications put the metal parts in the boiling water for just a few minutes. Take them out with small wooden kitchen tweezers or tong. Bigger than tweezers.

Rub clean with fine steel wool. back in the over for several more layers of sizzleing coats of the rust solution of your desired color. when that is done again back into the boiling water, this time add baking soda to the water or your parts will keep rusting and be ruined. boil 1/2 hour to a hour. Then under the tap and wash well with dish soap and warm water until clean. Now in another pot put cooking oil and heat it some but dont go nuts about it.

Put parts in the hot bout not boiling oil for as long as you want, a hour or over night. Turn off the heat if over night. No slat in the oil, just oil. take part out of the oil and wipe dry. let the film of oil on them dry into the pores.

Their you are, better than a professional gun smith job and it will last. I heat my shorter rifle barrel in the oven and take them out and set on two wooden blocks on top of the stove and do them the same way as the smaller parts.

For the water bath i built this set up. A 4 ft lenth of 3 inch pvc pipe with a cap on one end. Made a wooden stand for it so it could safely stand up right with the cap on the bottom. When i get to the water part of doing my barrels i fill the pipe with boiling water and some baking soda. Put a towel over the top of the set up. The water will stay hot for a long time as pvc is a good insulator. I only water bath my barrels once unless they need a second trip to look good. Rust bluing is easy if you make the set up and do it right. Dont forget the baking soda. Plum brown by bichwook casey may work with my method as well as it is a rusting agent also. Never used it, but it may work. Mark Lee is the best for me.

Let us know how it turns out. If you leave scratches in the metal, they will be their when your all done. i am doing the main frame of a 1860 uberti colt army as i write this. looks real good so far.

SERVICES by FRONTIERMUZZLELOADING:
PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE RETURN UPS / USPS OR INSURANCE ON SHIPPING.

ACCURACY
Internal Lock Polishing: $45.xx. CVA/Traditions/Siler/L&R locks only. I will polish all moving/mating surfaces and lock plate for a smooth grit free feel. This speeds up lock time and makes it butter smooth.
Trigger Polishing: $20.xx. Work would include the internals of the lock, the double set triggers MUST be polished fora smooth crisp, grit free feel!
Accuracy Bedding: $60.xx. Needed just like a center fire, your wood stock muzzle loader is actually prone to the tang screw/s loosening due to the weaker wood actually pulling the metal parts up and into the wood under heavy recoil! Loose tang screws are a dead giveaway of this happening only after a few shots, killing your accuracy.
Wet Weather soaking your wood stock also is a common problem. "In order to do the job correctly you will have to send your complete muzzle loader so I can bed all parts as one for the best accuracy possible."
Coning the Muzzle: $35.xx. This procedure in present day is known as "coning”. It was known in the 19th century as a "relieved" muzzle and also as a "funneled" muzzle. Once the rifle has been “coned” it can be loaded rather easily without using the short starter.
FINISHES
Barrel Browning: $65.xx. I use nothing but the best to brown all muzzle loader barrels. It’s a slow process which generally takes 3 to 5 days to complete properly. This included sights, tang, screws, etc. If it deals with the barrel/attachment. It is included in the price.
Browning Accessories: Contact for price! Butt plate, trigger guard, nose cap, patch box, Etc. Just let me know what all you have and I will work on a price for you.
Stock Refinish: $125.xx. Have an old beauty of a muzzle loader but the stock is looking a little beat up? No problem! All finishes are hand rubbed from the low gloss, matte to high mirror gloss, I can do it in whatever finish you want. Walnut normally does NOT get stained unless the owner wants it reddish or almost black. Good walnut normally never needs staining.
Brush the Brass: $25.xx. To rid that beautiful rifle of yours and that ugly shiny cheap looking brass, I can also provide a Brushed look to your rifles furniture that will age nicely and cut that cheap shininess out! Stop scaring game with that mirror! It’s a hunting rifle, not a beauty pageant!

LITERATURE CORNER

TREASURES OF READING
Folks, here are some great books to read, while relaxing in the evening........

Buy Today...Great Reading!! Day of Judgement (Phoenix Rising)
Present Day
by William W. Johnstone with J.A. Johnstone

"Our worst nightmares have come to pass:

America has been taken over and is ruled by Muslims. The USA is now called the Islamic Republic of Enlightenment. Sharia is the law of the land. Americans have a choice--convert or die.

You Didn't Build That

Three armies of brave but outgunned patriots--the Brotherhood of Loyalists, the Brotherhood of Liberty, and the United Patriots--send emissaries to Jake Lantz and Bob Varney at Firebase Freedom. Their goal: establish a more perfect union, revive the Constitution, and ultimately take back all of America.

The new capitol of New America is Mobile, Alabama. But the enemy is the same. The United Islamic Republic of Enlightenment is not giving up without a bitter, bloody fight. With the World Caliphate of Holy Path Islam behind them they are stronger than ever in their evil history. But so is a new America gathering force. Battle lines are drawn, new weapons tested. The United States of America--the Land of the Free--will rise again. . .

NOTE: Most folks don't think this could ever happen...just vote for another Liberal like Obama and see what happens!

NOTE:Folks, every book I review on The MountainGnome, I have read and give my honest opinion. This book is excellent reading and exciting (IMO)!

YOUR PRIVACY AND YOUR FREEDOM IS UNDER ATTACK!!
Congress voted to allow your internet service providers to sell your online activity to advertisers – here’s the simplest way to prevent that from happening.

Goodbye Internet Privacy, Hello Anonymous VPNs: How To Keep Your Browser History Private

Every week read about the latest developments in privacy software for the home, internet, e-mail..etc..Is the government sticking their noses to far into your private life? Find out more...

Software, Articles, Web Sites and Tips helping YOU protect your PRIVACY!!

BASICS OF CRYPTOGRAPHY - Download or view this manual.

The best free privacy software 2017!
Online privacy is a hot topic, with even world leaders weighing in on the subject. Many of the big-name websites and companies will track your activities to deliver targeted advertising, and can build up an astonishingly detailed profile including your interests, spending habits, age, location and more.

If you would prefer to keep your personal details private, a VPN or proxy tool will help. See the guide to setting up and maintaining a VPN.

Privoxy
Privoxy gives you total control, but the options might be overwhelming

Privoxy is a web proxy tool that's available not only for Mac, Windows and Linux, but also Android and iOS. It is a tremendously powerful tool, but you'll need to invest a little time and effort to get it up and running.

Privoxy can be used in conjunction with just about any web browser, which is a big bonus; simply set the browser to run its traffic through the tool.

However, one of Privoxy's key features could also be a drawback for new users: it gives you very granular control over privacy settings, and configuring them is very much a manual process. There's a helpful quick start guide available, but it has the potential to be off-putting.

That said, if you're happy to persevere, this free privacy software lets you set up advanced filters that will not only ensure you remain anonymous online, but also protect you against unwanted ads.

NOTE: Folks, as of today, TOR is the best of the best for your PRIVATE internet browsing! No one has been able to equal this program!

CHUCK WAGON COOK

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls (Golabki) Ingredients
The key to this version of Stuffed Cabbage Rolls is that you combine both Pork and Beef meat, don't use just ground beef. Also, you can adjust the cayenne to make it more spicy too. And, the other key ingredient is the cooked buckwheat. Even though you can substitute rice, the buckwheat adds a rich roasted flavor that truly adds to this dish -- and it is better for you too! Serve with Potato Cheese Pierogi and Cauliflower Gratinee.
    Spicy Sweet Tomato Sauce::
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tsp freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium red pepper sliced
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Dash of cayenne pepper (chili pepper or paprika works for those who want less spice)
  • 2 cups Mushrooms (optional)
  • Sea Salt and freshly ground black pepper to tast
    Cabbage Roll Stuffing:
  • 1 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 chopped celery stalks
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper chopped
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • Dash of Worcester Sauce
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1 pound ground beef (organic, grass-fed beef preferred)
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked buckwheat
  • Sea Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 large heads green cabbage, about 3 pounds each
Cabbage Rolls Directions:

Golabki Tomato Sauce:
Add oil to a saucepan and place over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and heat on low, until the sauce thickens, about 5-10 minutes (may need more if adding mushrooms to sauce). Season with salt and pepper and remove from the heat.

Prepare Meat Filling:
Place a skillet over medium heat and coat with 2 tablespoons of the olive oil. Sauté the onion and garlic for about 5 minutes, until soft. Stir in the tomato paste, celery, wine, parsley, bell pepper, Worcester sauce, Thyme, and 1/2 cup of the prepared spicy tomato sauce, mix to incorporate and then take it off the heat. Combine the ground beef and pork meat in a large mixing bowl. Add the egg, the cooked buckwheat, and the sauteed onion mixture. Toss the filling together with your hands to combine, season with a generous amount of salt and pepper.

Prepare Cabbage Leaves:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Remove the large, damaged outer leaves from the cabbages and set aside. Put one cabbage head into water, boil till outer leaves soften (3-4 minutes), take the head out of water, remove the outer leaves, lay them on the side to dry. Repeat this process until all leaves can be carefully removed on both heads of cabbage.

Assemble Cabbage Rolls:
Take the reserved big outer leaves and lay them out. Use all the good looking leaves to make the cabbage rolls, layer the rest on the bottom of a casserole pan(s) for a tasty side dish. Put about 1/2 cup of the meat filling in the center of a cabbage leaf and starting at what was the stem-end, fold the sides in and roll up the cabbage to enclose the filling. Place the cabbage rolls side by side in rows, seam-side down, in casserole pan (or pans).

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Pour the remaining sweet and sour tomato sauce over the cabbage rolls. Drizzle the top with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Cover the dish with a lid or foil. Bake for 1 to 1.5 hours or until the meat is cooked.

**This dish is great frozen and reheated. And depending on the size of the cabbages and the size of your casserole dish, you can easily make to dishes with this, eat one and freeze the other for another great meal! This dish can easily serve 6-8 people.
