FREE SHIPPING!!!Frontier's - Bullseye Wads are used over the powder and under the patched round ball or conical bullet to help seal gasses and protect the Patch ( Round Ball shooters ) from the hot gasses and flame from the powder charge. Conical shooters will experience greater accuracy and consistency when using Bullseye Wads as the Felt Wad protects the fragile base of the bullet from gasses that can often cut around the base of the bullet, causing erratic velocity, groups and leading in the bore.

CVA Hawken .50 cal Percussion 1:48 twist
Recently finished up this CVA Hawken .50cal, 28" barrel, 1:48. Barrel and tang are fully bedded. Lock and triggers function perfectly and smooth. New stainless steel #11 nipple and brass flash cup. I finished the stock with a 2000 grit finish and 10 coats of hand rubbed Genuine Oil ( A Birchwood Casey Product ) 3 coats of Johnsons floor paste wax to top it off. The bore is clean and smooth all the way down. All brass was buffed with 800 grit scuffing pads to leave a nice dull brushed look. This rifle shoots excellent! I upgraded the factory sights to something more traditional and both are steel. The barrel & tang was slow rust browned to a gorgeous chocolate brown. This rifle is 100% ready to go make some meat! The front sight will need to be filed down as shes shooting aprox 8" low at 50 yards. Plenty of sight for you to play with and fine tune. A brass oval inlay was added to the stock so the owner can either do some engraving such as their name or even a scenery. A nice little touch to personalize your new rifle. Payment:I accept USPS Money Order or Personal Checks. I ship UPS Ground with insurance in case of damage or loss.
Anyone from a state such as Illinois, New York City, New Jersey must have this shipped to an FFL holder. You can either send a copy of the FFL with payment or email it to me. If your state requires an FFL for a muzzleloader, YOU are responsible for being up front and telling me so.

"A Hunting Adventure"
Elk Ridge Outfitters is located near Wilsall, Montana in the Bridger Mountain Range, approximately 20 miles north east of Bozeman. We offer big game hunting for Elk, Mule Deer, Antelope and Black Bear. Lodge and cabins are used for your living quarters. They are furnished with beds, mattresses, propane heat, electric lights, indoor plumbing. The lodge is where meals are served. We provide home style meals in a friendly atmosphere to add to your hunting experience.
Our hunting area in the Bridger Mountains consists of 28,000 +/- acres of private land and 6,400 acres of adjoining public land. We hunt on foot, four wheel drive or horseback at an elevation of 5,000 to 7,000 feet. Within this hunting district the Montana Fish and Game only allows the taking of brow tine bulls or cow elk, which enables us to have a high success rate for 5 and 6 point bulls. Because the majority of our hunting is done on private land we are better able to manage the game harvest and therefore offer a higher quality big game hunt.
We have a resident elk population of around 1200 head which stay in the area year around. Our Mule Deer are managed for bigger bucks. Antelope inhabit the surrounding plains. Mountain lion, Black Bear, bobcats and coyotes also inhabit the area.
At Elk Ridge Outfitters we continually scout and locate game to make your hunting trip to Montana a successful one. Hunting here in Montana is unforgettable not only for the hunting experience but for the scenic beauty as well.not only for the hunting experience but for the scenic beauty as well.
